Where You'll Work & The Scope:

 

Vishay ESTA division is currently seeking a full time Sr. Manager Product Marketing responsible for defining and executing the U.S. regional product strategy to maximize revenue growth and variable margin, manage product portfolio based on customer requirements, provide design in technical support to customers for the division.   The role is remote.  Ideal candidates will be located on the U.S. Midwest or East Coast.

 

How You'll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

 

Business Strategy / Product Roadmaps / Profitability:

  1. Define an appropriate strategy by product in terms of expected sales and margins.  Define actions how to manage the strategy. Develops continuously new products ideas and business opportunities.
  2. Define and review prices, variable margin and price strategy as key responsibility to assure the division’s profitability in line with the divisional targets.
  3. Continuously review new products to be developed, products to be dropped and pricing of current products.  Product Roadmap. Marketing intelligence to justify capital spending projects and assisting in Budget, Forecast, 5YP and annual Business Reviews with Senior Management.
  4. Product Marketing needs to be in the driver’s seat of the business.  Product Marketing defines actions, that span more than the Divisional team.  Sales, Business Marketing, Business Development, etc., however contribute to the product strategy by identifying opportunities.  But, Product Marketing defines the strategy and actions. Closely align and coordinate all major activities with the related Business Marketing teams to be efficient and focus on the same common objectives.

Markets / Customers / Pricing:

  1. Product Marketing to spot changes, trends in the market and competitors’ information.  Assess how this may impact the revenue and margins of the Division. Be aware of changes in industry, social, regulatory, environmental and technology and pro-actively exploit these changes.
  2. Maintain close relationships with the customers, as well as with colleagues from Sales, Business Marketing, Business Development, Marcom, etc. and strengthen the relationship for the benefit of the division and to identify business opportunities.
  3. Support and “customer specific requirements” for industrial / Medical, and others as audit participation, specifications etc.
  4. Define and work out prices for distributions and OEM customers and participate and lead all related price negotiations. Take initiatives to assess markets and define/communicate an action plan to increase revenue and margins.
  5. Work with Marcom and guide them in planning and preparing of technical and supporting material, product documentation, web-site presence, web tools, advertisement, campaigns, press releases and technical articles.
  6. Support catalog distribution for samples and collateral design information to ensure our products (especially new products) are available for customers to design in.

 

Experience You'll Need:

  • Technical savvy, knowledgeable about commercial processes, markets, business administration and finance basics with a 5-10 years’ experience in the industry
  • Technical / professional education, as university study, master degree or equivalent
  • Structured professional working methodology
  • Experienced on Management / Team Leading, with management and analytic skills
  • Outspoken, open, social, excellent in communication
  • High interpersonal and intercultural competence
  • Advanced negotiation and presentation skills
  • Able to lead and motivate a remote global team
  • Capable to take decisions
  • Team player, leader, and role model, self-driven on his own
  • Open minded, flexible, and able to work in a changing business environment
  • Willing to travel globally to a high degree
