Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay San Jose, CA is currently seeking applicants for a Director of Material Planning Low Voltage MOSFETS.

Responsible for: overseeing all worldwide activities related to supply chain planning, inventory control, on time delivery and revenue attainment for the Vishay Siliconix Mosfet LVM product line.  You will be responsible for identifying and leading projects designed to significantly improve Vishay Siliconix Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process by driving improvement in forecast accuracy and inventory planning across our global business.  The projects will require strategic thinking, effective and independent problem solving, and an ability to influence diverse teams.  You will work through a team of both direct reports and matrixed representatives from various functions and locations.

What you will be doing:

  • Direct the strategic and tactical activities of planning, scheduling, forecasting, supply and inventory management including analytics to exceed division goals.
  • Develop accurate short and mid-term revenue and finished goods inventory projections and execute to meet goals.
  • Proactively respond to customer needs, escalations with accurate supply support plans and delivery confirmations.
  • Manage and maintain backlog scheduling, constraint based planning systems, Master Data, FE (Substrate, EPI, BMTL, Plating, Bump and Wafer) planning and back end build plans while maintaining acceptable inventory levels.
  • Formulate and utilize methods and systems for enhancing operational efficiencies, and control over supply and inventory.
  • Lead Sales Inventory & Operations Planning and Demand Planning within MRP (SAP) systems to ensure adequate supply and on-time delivery.
  • Forecast, monitor, evaluate and control the materials process via key performance indicators/metrics, trends and drive short and long-term improvements.
  • Determine budgetary needs for specified areas and manage to the set budget.
  • Identify planning service improvements and product standardization consistent with the expectations of the business.
  • Manage and maintain effective communication and relationships with cross-functional partners.
  • Utilize data analysis and reporting to support supply chain strategies, cost reduction efforts, inventory reduction targets, and compliance.

 

What you will bring along:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Supply chain management. MBA or Masters in Engineering a plus.
  • CSCP/CPIM certification or equivalent preferred.
  • >10 years of progressively responsible corporate Supply Chain and/or Procurement leadership at a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing company.
  • >5 years of direct management experience required: multi-site and remote team management experience strongly preferred; global experience a plus.
  • Highly results and action-oriented and focused on business priorities with a successful record of accomplishments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Significant materials planning and systems (ERP) background required (SAP); including inventory optimization.
  • Excellent independent problem-solving and analytical skills – able to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement and assess viable solutions. Develop and execute comprehensive action plans.
  • Superior active listening and soft skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently, including ability to assess and manage priorities.
  • Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills, particularly the ability to crisply communicate to senior management, demonstrate technical expertise and manage remote teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Must be able to build rapport with Operations and cross-functional colleagues and be able to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills in building and managing large teams with a history of success.

Salary Pay Range: $180,000.00-$220,000 Per Year
