Where You'll Work & The Scope

Vishay Applied Thin-Film Products is currently seeking a full-time EHS Engineer responsible for driving our EHS programs and regulatory compliance.  We're looking for an EHS Engineer who could ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and conformance to CALOSHA standards.

 

How You'll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine our environmental, health and safety programs, policies and procedures that ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to maintain compliance and to increase the overall level of EH&S awareness of all employees.
  • Provide guidance to employees in the implementation and improvement of site EH&S programs.
  • Review capital projects, and other site changes from an EH&S perspective.
  • Conduct incident investigations with results focusing on root causes and corrective actions.
  • Manage the storage, recycle, reuse & disposal of residual, universal and hazardous wastes.
  • Work closely with the plant personnel to ensure that all EH&S procedures and reporting requirements remain in compliance.
  • Ensure all training documentation and other record keeping is up-to-date.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of EH&S regulations & understand how they impact our business.
  • Manage chemical inventories, MSDSs, and solid waste for facility. Maintain records related to these activities.
  • Conduct routine internal EHS audits.

 

Experience You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Health and Safety or related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of EHS experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of CALOSHA, CERS, and local California regulations preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Superior organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong writing, documentation, and presentation and speaking skills
