Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  Vishay Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is currently seeking applicants for a Senior Quality Engineer. Responsible for assigned area to ensure product compliance to Safety Agency requirement, RoHS and REACH requirement, lead and coach ESD practices, calibration, subcon 8D management & etc.

Job Location:

This position will be located at Krubong, Melaka in a vibrant industrial area. You will experience exciting different local cultures in this historical state. Nearby are malls and various restaurants. It is also close to recreation parks and a stadium.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for the application of product to relevant Product Safety Agency.
• Lead the safety agency factory inspection audit.
• Responsible for monitoring the product in meeting and compliance to RoHS and REACH requirement.
• Responsible to lead and coach a team to drive operation team in compliance to ESD requirement.
• Coordinate with operation team on timely equipment/jig calibration.
• Drive subcon team to continuously improve quality KPI by establishing and maintaining effective 8-D process, develop right leading indicators/process controls and ensure defect reduction programs are effectively executed.

What you will bring along:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics / Mechanical / Science or other Engineering related course.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in semiconductor environment.
• Knowledgeable on product safety agency requirement, ESD standard, RoHS and REACH standard, calibration standard.
• Well versed in 8D methodology.
• Knowledge in SPC, FMEA, PPAP, MSA and auditing is an added advantage.
• Able to communicate effectively with safety agency and resolution of quality issues with customer.
