Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  Vishay, Dover, New Hampshire, is currently seeking a fulltime R&D Technician responsible for working closely with the NPI group in building new product through all phases of development.  We’re looking for a technically skilled individual with manufacturing experience.

Job Location:

We’re located southwest of downtown Dover which is the largest city in the New Hampshire Seacoast region, the oldest permanent settlement in New Hampshire, and the seventh oldest in the U.S.A.  We’re less than seven miles from the main campus of UNH, and another fun fact is that Dover even is the birthplace of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. 

What you will be doing:

  • Build sample and prototype product
  • Develop new processes with Design Engineering input
  • Verify that sample and prototype designs meet required specifications
  • Verify the accuracy of Bill of Material quantities for all prototypes
  • Ensure parts can be manufactured in a production environment
  • Develop and record the initial build process for all prototype products
  • Create Work Instructions from initial build process sample notes for future production
  • Provide assistance with first time production runs

What you will bring along:

  • Manufacturing experience
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and general Vishay/HiRel Systems’ processes essential
  • Hard Skills in Winding, Soldering, Assembly and Testing necessary
  • Experience with Epoxy and Varnish preferred
  • J-STD-001 certification or able to obtain within 3 months
  • Strong computer skills required in the areas of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated team player with strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills
