Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Planning Manager.  Responsible for leading the Business Planning and expediting activities for the Dale Division.  This position is responsible for the administration, policies, and scheduling for all incoming order demand to achieve maximum equipment utilization with best possible customer service results.  Will also coordinate all Business and Production Planning activities across global locations assigned to the Dale Division.  Responsible for Finished Goods inventories in such a manner as to meet the company goals for established level of turns and service.

Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology.   There are roughly 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE.  We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible to manage and develop all Planning personnel, which would include Supervisors, Planning Coordinators, and Planners.

  • Communicates with Production Management to reassign production capacity changes to offer competitive lead times.

  • Works cooperatively with Customer Service in directing all expediting activities of the Division, including higher levels expedites.  

  • May participate in calls with customers to discuss product shipment plans. 

  • Establishes and maintains a communication channel between Mexico and Israel Planning and Production to effectively manage business planning, production planning, and finished good inventory control.

  • Coordinates all SAP projects and implementations relating to Planning for the Division. 

  • Coordination can include creation and administration of SAP reporting, working with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, Logistics, and IT on Divisional projects.

What you will bring along:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

  • Three to Five years of experience in a manufacturing operation would be desirable.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access, Outlook, mainframe systems, and SAP a plus.
