Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech?  Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for an Operator 2 Auto Coater, 1st Shift.  Overtime is available as needed.

Job Location: Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology.  

Position Summary: To properly coat, pre-coat and varnish all types of resistors.

What you will be doing:

  • Determine correct wheels

  • Paint or varnish and paint viscosity for type and style of part being coated

  • Maintain SPC information for paint viscosity and oven temperature.

  • During operation continually monitor pumps, coating heads, auto viscometers and oven temperature gauges to make certain they are operating correctly.

  • 100% visual inspect parts for coating quality prior to release to next operation.

  • Ensure proper date sequence on orders is maintained to assure timely delivery.

  • When appropriate, selects orders to reduce wheel changes to enhance productivity.

  • Equipment Utilization: Learns the use of measuring equipment for the purpose of viscosity checks and dimensional checks on parts. 

  • Learns the set-up of auto viscometers.

  • Responsible for coating quality and damage prevention to leads and wire. 

  • Conducts SPC charting.  Rework when required.

What you will bring along:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Assumes the ability to operate machinery and equipment, read blueprints and interpret routine production specifications. 

Physical Demands, Work Environment and Required Safety Equipment:

  • Some lifting, on feet more of the day. 

  • Continued exposure to solvent fumes during operation and clean up. 

  • Organic Filtered Respirator Required during clean up only.
