The Material Handling team provides value add by:
Preparing and transporting raw materials, parts and semi-products according to defined procedures, in order to ensure efficient and seamless production between different lines or plants at one site.
Cooperating with Line Scheduling and Manufacturing teams, in picking parts and materials from stock or from machines, and moving them to next line according to schedule.
Ensuring the appropriate documentation of tasks in the systems.
Utilizing specialized moving devices in plants, as assigned..
A job at this level:
Kits material to work orders.
Examines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines
Performs cycle counts and maintains inventory counts
Issues material to jobs using production software
Repackages materials as necessary for storage or transport to manufacturing lines
Lifts heavy items
Prepares Kanban tags
Monitor age sensitive material
Prepares goods for final shipment – packaging and shipping final product.
Follows all work rules and EHS regulations applicable to assigned work task(s).
