Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  Vishay Dimona is currently seeking applicants for a Maintenance Team Leader. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities of a facility or organization. This position requires a strong knowledge of mechanical and electronical systems, as well as experience in managing a team of technicians. You will ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working condition and that repairs are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Beer Sheva is the capital of the Negev and is located in the southern part of Israel.

The factory in Beer Sheva was established in 1996 in “Emek Sarah” industrial area.

What you will be doing:

  • To direct and oversee the maintenance team in their day-to-day activities.
  • To plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
  • To ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
  • To inspect equipment, facilities, and infrastructure to identify potential maintenance issues.
  • To develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols.
  • To manage inventory of spare parts and supplies.
  • To train and develop maintenance team members, performing periodic evaluations and interviews for potential candidates for work as technicians.
  • To manage contractor relationships.
  • To ensure adherence to budget and cost-control measures.

What you will bring along:

  • Practical Engineer degree required.; associate or bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in general maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance best practices and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience of at least 3 years in a similar industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance software and other computer systems.
  • Reading stock drawings of spare parts, budget management, knowledge of lasers, sensors, programmed controllers – an advantage
  • Willingness to work in a challenging environment, responding to unusual hours, responsibility, precision training, employee motivation and good human relations
  • High level English, reading, speaking, and writing,
