Where You'll Work & The Scope:

 

Vishay Siliconix, a leader in the development of power semiconductor products which improves efficiency in electronic systems for consumer, industrial, automotive, medical, and military applications, is currently seeking a Staff Product Engineer.  This position will be located in San Jose, California.

 

How You'll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

 

As Staff Product Engineer you will be responsible for the New Product coordination and introduction on the Low Voltage MOSFET product line from inception through to manufacturing release. Also, serves as a central hands-on interface working with design, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing to support product definition, yield improvement, quality and cost initiatives during development and the entire product life cycle

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages new Product Introduction coordination from product definition through to qualification and release to manufacturing
  • Oversees analysis of yield at parametric test, wafer sort & final test using data mining software to determine and support the resolution of yield losses
  • Develops, evaluates, and deploys test recipe methods to manage product quality levels within zero defect reduction programs
  • Interfaces with global design, process, test and reliability engineering to jointly solve yield, manufacturing and quality problems
  • Prepares technical reports and instructions via analytical studies on assigned projects and goals.
  • Works closely with global wafer foundry engineering organizations in the management and manufacturing release of product transfers

 

Knowledge and Experience You'll Need:

 

  • 5 years related experience in MOSFET Product Engineering in a Business Unit environment to prototype new products through to production release
  • New Product coordination and introduction on the Low Voltage MOSFET product line from inception through to manufacturing release.
  • Industry knowledge and experience
  • Working with internal and external customers
  • Highly motivated with an inquisitive/curious nature
  • Works well in the fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

 

Education:

B.S or M.S in Electrical Engineering or related Physical Sciences field. Course exposure on 8D, SPC, DMAIC problem solving

 

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years related experience in MOSFET Product Engineering working in a Business Unit environment to prototype new products through to production release. Must be a team player, can manage multiple engineering projects within cross functional teams and must have clear and effective written and verbal skills.   

 

Salary Range: 150k-175k
