Senior Test Development Engineer IC’s

 

Where You’ll Work & The Scope:

Vishay-Siliconix, a leader in the development of power semiconductor products which improves efficiency in electronic systems for consumer, industrial, medical, and automotive applications, is currently seeking a Senior Test Development Engineer IC’s.  This position will be located in San Jose, CA.

 

How You’ll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

The Test Development Engineer will work on research, design, development, modification and evaluation of electronic parts, components of semiconductor integrated circuit designed for consumer and/or automotive application systems.  Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.  Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining suitable solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Research and determine circuit design approaches on semiconductor device testing processes
  • Analyze equipment to establish operating data.
  • Write relevant test programs, conduct experimental tests, evaluate and communicate result.
  • Circuit design based on analysis of device specs and testing requirement
  • Select appropriate components and equipment based on analysis of device specs and testing requirement
  • Provide full test project management including vendor capability and requirements.
  • Research, analyze and compile data for documentation, reports and presentations.
  • Extensive knowledge in testing methodologies and processes of Power Management Application specific IC
  • Study, benchmark and evaluate competition's products.
  • Write technical documents (Application notes, White Papers, Technical article).
  • Propose specific new products for development.
  • Track and report progress of the projects against key milestones.

 

Experience:

Successful candidates will have most of the following:

  • BSEE and 7+ years of product and test development engineering experience on Semiconductor IC product lines.
  • Knowledge and hands on skill in using bench instruments and ATEs.
  • Test development experience for Power electronics is preferred
  • PCB Design experience including basic knowledge of Signal and Power integrity principles
  • Expert Knowledge on Eagle Test System platforms (ETS-88 / ETS-800)
  • Experience with SYL, SBL, SPC and FMEA preferred. 
  • Candidate must possess excellent oral, written, interpersonal, problem solving and strong computer skills. 

Travel Required: Yes, 5% of the Time
