Print Stamp Clerk

Vishay Columbus, Nebraska is currently seeking a Full Time, Print Stamp Clerk responsible for operating the equipment to make stamps for the Film and Wire Wound products built in the USA, Mexico and Israel.  Will be responsible for filing stamps for reuse and distributing stamps to the correct production areas as they are needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • On Film product – operator will receive tickets, verify Per Mark, check stock to see if correct stamp is available – if stamp is available attach it to the ticket.  Send ticket to orderfill.  (if correct stamp isn’t available it will need to be made – see below.)
  • Wire wound and all other products (Yankton and Israel) – will send list of requested stamps to be made (see below.)  After stamps are made operator will ship stamps to appropriate location.
  • Process of making stamps – Operator will use the following stamp making equipment (Imager, developer and washout equipment) to make the stamps.  Stamps will be cut, placed in correct envelopes.  Attached to the tickets (Film) or sent to the appropriate location (all other departments). 
  • Will cross-train to help in orderfill area as directed.  Will learn to weigh and signoff tickets.
  • Files all returned Film stamps from Columbus and Mexico (100% inspect incoming stamps from Mexico before filing.)
  • Practices all safety rules and performs all routine daily cleaning at assigned workstation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities
  • Responsible to accomplish their functions in the most efficient manner, insuring that the stamps are made correctly and distributed correctly
  • Engaged in the Division’s Continuous Improvement Lean program, by providing evidence through the use either the JM (Job Method), 5s Audits, improvement on 8 types of waste.

 

Requirements:

Ability to interpret production specifications.  Basic computer skills work with LAN and stamp making programs.  Organizational skills to organize work area and work flow.  Ability to understand verbal and/or written instructions.  Ability to operate equipment for stamp making.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must have basic computer knowledge

Must be able to accurately interpret job specifications and verify the Per Mark information on the ticket .  Working in a busy production environment subject to noise and varying lighting levels.  May be subject to some dust and be able to work with chemicals.  Must be able to look thru a microscope and/or magnified lens to verify stamp information.
