Entry Level Operator

Do you want to be a part of the critical infrastructure in today's growing technology? Vishay Dale in Columbus, NE is currently seeking a full time Reel Packer responsible for operating the reel packing machine.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Cleans and sets up machine.
  • Makes changes in spacing discs, adjusts machine to proper width.
  • Changes fingers and adjusts tension and setting.
  • Removes, cleans and reinstalls (to the .006th of an inch) straightener shoes.
  • Cleans straightener rollers. Installs new tape and adjusts to exact width.
  • Installs and removes lead cutting attachment.
  • Adjusts pressure on taping wheels.
  • Adjusts the receiving hopper and Synthon feed bowls.
  • Changes, reels and adjusts pressure constantly on reel driving mechanisms.
  • Adjusts, cleans and checks Photo Cells Control.
  • Adjusts mechanical counter.
  • Loads units into Synthon by proper orders and items.
  • Starts machine, adjusts speed of lead straightener and taper.
  • Gives close visual attention at all times to insure machine is operating properly.
  • Watches reeled units for missed spacing, replaces or inserts units when necessary.
  • Splices areas when necessary and helps checks counts on reels.
  • Assists with ordering material to be used for reel packaging.

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Some light lifting, continual use of hands at or above shoulder height.
  • Some exposure to noise from Synthon Bowls. 
  • Assumes the ability to operate machinery and equipment, read blue prints and interpret routing production specifications.
