Engineering Supervisor

Vishay Dale in Columbus, NE is hiring! We are searching for our next Engineering Section Supervisor. The Engineering Supervisor is Responsible for directing all engineering activities of a major product area within the general policies established by the Engineering Manager to meet the goals for the division.

Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for working with the Engineering Manager to determine parameters of engineering efforts, programs and goals for the product area. Lays out and defines project objectives to Engineers in areas of new design, product/process improvement and development.
  • Guides the staffing and management of engineering personnel under their direction including holding of progress reviews.
  • With guidance by the Engineering Manager, establishes schedules, funding, budgeting of all engineering projects within product area and maintains financial control of these projects.
  • Ensures that products and equipment are designed, specifications are written and processes established with the thought in mind of reducing costs of manufacturing, but not to the detriment of product quality or employee safety.
  • Independently performs more complex engineering work where subordinates may lack the experience or knowledge necessary to bring about satisfactory completion. Performs less complex engineering work when necessitated by special circumstances and to avoid adverse exposure for the company
  • Maintains complete competitive product knowledge and related developments in the area of new processes and products. Responsible for distribution of pertinent information to all areas that might benefit from their knowledge gained.


Degree in engineering field expierence in chemical or electrical engineering preferred.

3+ Years expierence in related field 

Supervisory experience required

Domestic and International travel required

Excellent communication skills.

High Knowledge working with technology. 

Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, cold or heat.  Some elements are occasionally present which makes conditions less desirable than usually found in an office environment.

Bilingual a plus
