Where You'll Work & The Scope:

Vishay Barry in Attleboro, Massachusetts is currently seeking a full-time EHS/Facilities Supervisor responsible providing leadership, technical expertise and guidance that will enable division management to provide a safe environment for employees, fully comply with government laws and corporate policies regarding EHS, minimize site liabilities and risks in these areas.  The position will also direct the activities of the Facilities Department through the supervision, training and performance of individual plant facilities personnel.


How You'll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

  • Develops, plans, and implements plant environmental, health and safety policies and programs (chemical safety, ergonomics, illness, and injury prevention, and building safety). 
  • Responsible for the follow-up of plant-wide safety issues. 
  • Prepares, submits, and maintains environmental records, reports, permits in accordance with Local, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Monitors performance of EHS programs and regulatory compliance with all federal and state regulations and handles all contacts with government agencies.
  • Develops and oversees ISO-14001 Environmental Management System
  • Ensures that appropriate corrective action is taken where hazards exist.
  • Supervises and directs all technical employees performing plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and utility work in all major buildings and warehouses.
  • Performs the actions and duties of direct supervision of facility maintenance personnel on all shifts.
  • Receives work orders and schedules work for facility maintenance, as well as technical staff to fully utilize all available manpower.
  • Coordinates under direction of Plant Manager all changes to the physical facilities including utility service (power, water, gas, etc.).  Plans, designs, installs, and maintains the necessary safety devices (sprinkler system, securing equipment, fire alarms, storm alarms, fire extinguishers, exits and entrances, etc.)
  • Coordinates outside contractors to perform work that cannot be done by company technical employees.
  • Maintains an inventory of necessary spare parts for equipment upkeep and repairs for both facility maintenance and facilities.
  • Prepares, updates as necessary, and maintains a preventive maintenance program for all applicable facilities equipment.


Experience You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 2-5 years of related experience.
  • Excellent communications skills to deal effectively with employees at all levels in the organization.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations governing the mixing and storage of solvents and other flammables and hazardous materials.



4 Day Week, 10 hour Shifts
