Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  Vishay Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is currently seeking applicants for a Senior Quality Engineer. Responsible for assigned area to ensure no new quality issues being generated from the area by ensuring right process control, indicators, processes, systems, firewalls & etc.

Job Location:

This position will be located at Krubong, Melaka in a vibrant industrial area. You will experience exciting different local cultures in this historical state. Nearby are malls and various restaurants. It is also close to recreation parks and a stadium.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for quality KPIs for area of responsibility as assigned by supervisor. i.e Sensor FOL.
• Drive operations/engineering team to continuously improve quality KPI by establishing and maintaining effective 8D process, right leading indicators/process controls and ensure defect reduction programs are effectively executed.
• Establish and maintain effective audit process to check compliance to control plan and past committed corrective actions.
• Work with operations team to ensure abnormal lots are effectively disposed to prevent quality issues.
• Responsible for implementation of manufacturing quality system within area of responsibility.
• Lead a team of IPQC/OQA to effectively implement process/product audits/QA Gates in area of responsibility, i.e Sensor FOL, Sensor EOL/Test as assigned by supervisor.

What you will bring along:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics / Mechanical / Science or other Engineering related course.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in semiconductor environment.
• Well versed in 8D methodology.
• Knowledge in SPC, FMEA, PPAP, MSA and auditing is an added advantage.
• Able to communicate resolution of quality issues with customer.
