Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  Vishay Resistors Belgium is currently seeking applicants for an R&D Product Engineer. You’ll be part of an enthusiastic team of experienced R&D engineers. Your role will be a point of contact for customers looking to design-in the right product that will shape the future.

Job Location:

Vishay Resistors Belgium is located in Evere (Brussels) and is a full part of Vishay Intertechnology since 2002. This location has a strong competence in developing and producing ceramic thermistors (temperature sensitive electronic component). In addition, several departments with worldwide responsibilities and interactions are located on site.

What you will be doing:

• Understand the customer requirements and propose the right product offering
• Collaborate with various departments (Marketing, Sales, Quality, Production, Purchasing, …) from start to finish with a focus on driving project success
• Propose, assist and coordinate new product introductions and maintain the existing product life cycle
• Develop Thermistor probes including technical studies of different materials & processes (cable harness, connectors, design plastic parts, design metal parts, …)
• Support product design-in by visiting customers and by organizing technical workshops
• Analyze the market trends and perform benchmarking

• Work on brand/product awareness by preparing technical product documentation
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing products and processes by proposing innovative solutions and optimization

What you will bring along:

• Master’s degree in material sciences engineering, mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering, physics or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in Automotive, Industrial, Electronics or plastic or metal components is preferable
• Experience with modeling and simulation softwares (Solidworks/CAD, ..) and with MS Office
• Fluent in English and in Dutch or French
• High communication and presentation skills
• Structure and analytical skills
• Problem solving skills
• Willingness to learn and work in an international team
