Stockroom Supervisor

Pay Range:

Swing Shift (1:30pm – 10:00pm) - $16.83 - $22.28/hour + 10% Shift Differential

Job Location:

Vishay Applied Thin Film Products is in Fremont, CA.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Receive and label production material into back-stock stockroom location using internal software system
  • Prepare and print all related paperwork for both domestic and international shipment using software reports to identify future back-stock shipments to have parts pulled and prepped
  • Use Epicor and Crystal Reports to identify future material needs; create and kit jobs to requirements
  • Perform cycle counts on materials
  • Receive and label materials and correctly store materials in stockroom
  • Prepare and print all related paperwork for both domestic and international shipments, including packing lists and materials for shipment
  • Pack materials for shipment
  • Kit and/or de-kit production jobs
  • Use UPS Worldship, Fed-Ex Powership and ship via other common carriers
  • May be required to perform other duties

Job Experience/Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Technical school/Associate degree a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of stockroom experience
  • Experience using manufacturing and production software (i.e. Epicor helpful but not necessary)
  • Computer skills, data entry experience (e.g. quality data/results) & proven working knowledge of computer usage
  • Proficient in English. Must have good English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Able to prioritize job flows, schedule and manage time efficiently
  • Strong problem solving and multi-tasking abilities required
  • Well organized and able to work independently
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with constant change
  • Must be able to lift minimum 25 pounds
  • Must have current California driver’s license
  • Prior experience working for ISO 9000 certified company

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in a warehouse/stock area environment; adheres to required safety and dress standards to prevent exposure to hazardous materials. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, talk, and listen.  May be required to sit, stand continually, walk for period of time; reach, climb, bend, stoop, and twist using full range of motion to perform normal stockroom duties; lift 25 to 50 pounds, and operate a computer and enter information using a keyboard, operate a telephone, and other office equipment for an extended period of time.  As some visual inspection duties will also be required, specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  May be exposed to hot/cold conditions, high-volume noise, exposure to stored energy hazards (electricity, compressed gases, etc.), and/or hazardous materials such as chemicals (e.g. alcohol, acetone, acids, solvents and photo resist) or particulate matter.

May be requested to work overtime and weekends to suit operational needs.
