Job Description

Job Requirements:

Successful candidates will have most of the following:

  • B.Eng / B.Sc in Electronic Engineering or similar.
  • 10+ years layout experience including Full Custom Analog and Mixed Signal.
  • Responsibility for layout of full chip designs and/or large scale sub-blocks, including scheduling, floor-planning, power-planning, verification and tapeout.
  • Ability to understand Design Rules, minimization of parasitic effects, IR drop and Isolation techniques.
  • High proficiency in interpretation of LVS/DRC/ERC/ANTENNA/DENSITY/DFM
  • Expertise in standard layout practices such as Layout matching, parasitic, noise & noise isolation, supply consideration, latch up, shielding, wells, substrates and isolation
  • Experience in laying out circuits for ESD consideration
  • Knowledge of layout effects and best layout practices
  • Experience in use of Cadence Virtuoso IC61/IC18
  • Experience in use of Mentor Graphics Calibre, and Cadence PVS
  • Scripting / automation skills (Perl, Python, Tcl).
  • Experience of IC physical verification tools.
