The Planning team provides value add by:
Managing or completing supply planning based on a number of indicators (sales forecast, orders, production data).
Analyzing, controlling and reporting on relevant KPI, detecting plan deviations, and deriving recommendations.
Developing supplier forecasts and determine logistical processes with suppliers.
Analyzing order plans and critical timelines, and double-checking of available materials, parts or products in stock.
Executing load balancing calculations, and cooperating with other plants for respectively optimized plans.
Planning of monthly or weekly production program for the assigned plant(s).
Calculating and deploying short-term (day-to-day) production plans for assigned production resources.
A manager at this level:
Oversees planning, order status, inventories of stocks as well as forecasts for logistics, production and deliveries, for a large plant or multi-business site.
Contributes to superior budgets, and plans, continuously optimize and monitor allocation for the agreed budgets.
Initiates, maintains and improves systems to measure performance and effectiveness of all planning operations.
Sets up and monitors projects to improve performance of planning and order management.
Decides and determines critical schedules for orders in the value chain.
