The Demand Planning & Systems team provides value add by:
Monitoring and analyzing past demand figures, market trends, and sales information (e.g., shortlists of leads, offerings and projects offered, negotiated or confirmed), and deriving accurate demand profile across sites and plants.
Aggregating production to generate production demand for the fiscal year, and maintaining plans when necessary.
Monitoring available inventories, and calculating production demand and mid-term forecast.
Discussing options of allocating resources with Purchasing, Production Planning and Manufacturing.
Preparing information for logistics and purchase department in order to enable midterm planning for frame agreements.
A job at this level:
Plans the material, machine, and personnel or transportation and warehousing resources needed, for local plant or site operations.
Sets up comprehensive plans, related to production or transportation and delivery, in cooperation with local Operations or Logistics.
Initiate procurement orders, and release production or transportation orders according to the plans agreed.
Monitors efficiency of processes, and derive short-term measures when necessary.
Cooperates with Maintenance, Engineering or Production Management to identify deficiencies or improvement potential.
