Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech?  Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Director – R&D.  Responsible for product development and strategies to ensure effective achievement of research and development objectives. 

Job Location:

Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology.   There around 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE.  We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.

What you will be doing:

  • Per division objectives, sets the research and development direction for optimal division product development, manufacturing excellence, etc. in order to maximize potential.
  • Participates at high level meetings and sets forth policies and plans to achieve R&D excellence, in concert with quality assurance, sales growth,  headcount planning, etc.
  • Approves budgets and capital expenditures as set by top organizational level.
  • Selects appropriate subordinate R&D management group to ensure smooth R&D operations to support company objectives and provides training as required.
  • Develop and maintain 5YP R&D direction with Marketing, Business Development and Division Management
  • Provides technical direction regarding potential acquisition targets and subcontracting partners

What you will bring along:

  • 15 years R&D experience.
  • MS or PHD in Materials Engineering or Physics preferred
