Where You’ll Work & The Scope:
Vishay Electro Films is currently seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer responsible for supporting metal sputter systems. We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented professional to serve as a dedicated contributor to our engineering department.
How You’ll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:
The primary responsibility for the Senior Process Engineer is to sustain and support Metal Sputter systems, PECVD, RIE, Oxide/LPNitide Diffusion tubes, Vacuum Anneal, & resistive metal stabilization processes on Silicon and a variety of ceramic substrates that include:
- TaN and NiCr resistive metal sputtering and alloy/stabilization processes
- Adhesion/Conductor Sputtered films including: TiW, Ti, Cr, Pd, Ni, Al, Cu, & Au
- PECVD Nitride & Oxide / RIE for TaN and PECVD Nitride
- Resistor Stabilization Processes for TaN and NiCr resistive metals (Vacuum Annealing & Oxidation)
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Process Instruction writing, maintenance, and training
- Create, evaluate, and maintain all statistical process control systems/charts and data collection systems/logs as required in photo area
- Analyze data and identify opportunities for yield or general improvements in photo area
- Trouble-shoot and resolve implementation for any problems with processes and/or individual parts
- Develop new process capabilities or use of new materials as required
- Works closely with design engineering to ensure mask compensation is correct for new and existing parts
Experience You’ll Need:

- Working experience in a hands-on engineering role is required
- Willingness to learn and run all processes and equipment in order to provide background necessary to train other personnel, resolve problems, and develop new capabilities.
- Ability to run and understand the output of an RGA / Leak Detection systems to support monitoring and trouble-shooting of vacuum systems
- Supports RF/Microwave measurement and performance characterization techniques using network analyzer
- Material Science and Characterization expertise, understanding of test techniques to facilitate problem solving (eg. Auger, EDX, XPS, RBS, DSC)
- Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience working in thin film or semiconductor industry or with sputter deposition equipment
- Advanced degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering or Physics preferred
- Experience with SPC, MSA, 8D, 5S, Lean, 6 Sigma, MiniTab, Jmp, or FMEA topics a plus
