Process Engineer II

Vishay, EFI is currently seeking a Process Engineer II responsible to sustain and support processes and operations for wet etching, plating and via fill areas.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

    • Wet etch processes cover variety of etches for metals and oxide
    • Routine plating operations for electrolytic plating of Cu, Ni, & Au
    • Specialty plating operation for immersion Sn plating
    • Routine plating operations for electrolytic plating of Au Filled Vias
    • Hands on engineer required that is willing to learn to run all processes and all equipment to provide background necessary for being able to train other personnel, resolve problems, & develop new capabilities.
    • Process Instruction writing, maintenance, & training
    • Creation, evaluation, & maintenance of all statistical process control systems/charts as required
    • Creation, evaluation, & maintenance of all data collection systems/logs as required
    • Data evaluation and identification of opportunities for yield or general improvements
    • Trouble-shooting and resolution implementation for any problems with processes and/or individual parts
    • Development of new process capabilities or use of new materials as required
    • Trains operators to perform required activities to perform all required bath maintenance for the Cu, Ni, & Au plating baths and subsequently monitors these plating bath maintenance activities and coordinates out-of-house sampling programs including monitoring of all results
    • Performs all purchasing for required plating bath changes and physically performs all required activities for bath changes on the plating baths as required
    • Performs routine plating bath maintenance at the Via Fill tank and performs all required activities for bath changes as required
    • Secondary responsibility to sustain and support photolithography processes and operations as a cross-trained backup to primary engineer.


Requirements:

    • 5-7 years minimum related experience
    • Experience with SPC, MSA, 8D, 5S, Lean, 6 Sigma, MiniTab, Jmp, or FMEA topics a plus
    • Education – B.S. in Engineering or Applied Science
