Supplier Quality Engineer

We seek to recruit, for a global role in an international team, in Vishay Group:

Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f)

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Work closely with development department locate and identify potential suppliers;
• Support supplier assessment and qualification (included risk assessment);
• Participate in technical review with suppliers, ensure potential suppliers understands and complies with all RFQ requirements;
• Create and follow up orders for project materials/services and equipment;
• Lead of APQP planning at the supplier, ensure APQP progress/process integrity meets Vishay requirement and report to project team;
• Lead supplier PPAP submission, ensure completeness and meet timing objectives;
• Management Run& Rate at the suppliers and tracking of related improvements;
• Supplier quality/technical support from nomination until serial production;
• Interact with QA, conduct supplier audits and follow up closure of actions, representing supplier quality management in customer audits;
• Lead supplier quality problem solving, 8D handling and closing, assure supplier lessons learned implementation;
• Train and support suppliers in using and implementing required quality assurance tools;
• Follow up engineer changes (CP) related to supplier process, such as HQN update;
• Drive supplier continuous improvement at quality, technology, cost;
• Participate in the project meeting with cross function team, follow up actions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor or above, prefer Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or related;
• Min. 2 years working experience in supply chain or quality, automotive preferred;
• Knowledge of QS-900/TS16949 requirements (APQP/PPAP) required;
• Knowledge in manufacturing problem solving (8D Methodology) required;
• Proficiency in English, oral and written is required;
• Excellent technical and analytic skills with experience in supplier manufacturing processes;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time with good priorities;
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and in multi-cultural groups;
• Good communication and social skills, strong business ethics;
• Willing to travel (include oversea trips).
