Where You'll Work & The Scope:
Vishay Dover is currently seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative responsible for interfacing with customers, design engineering, and manufacturing to ensure that the customers’ needs are met while providing customer service to existing and new customers and selling products through the sales channels that have been developed.
How You'll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:
- Handles inbound sales calls and e-mails to convert into sales
- Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
- Initiate corrective actions, process rma’s, change orders, and request credits from accounting as needed
- Builds and maintains customer base by providing courteous, honest, timely service to new and existing customers
- Prepares reports of business transactions to use in the follow up process.
- Develops and maintains sales forecasts by customer and part number
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries
- Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customers’ complaints; determines cause of problem; selects and explains the best solution to solve problems; expedites corrections or adjustments; follows up to ensure resolution
- Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzes customer needs
- Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Follows up on samples and quotes for potential sales
- Communicate effectively with Sales Specialist, all internal customers as required. Keeps the team updated to ensure that sales and customer goals are met to the best of our ability
Experience You'll Need:
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and/or 2+ years related sales or customer service experience in a manufacturing environment
- familiarity with ERP systems highly beneficial
- excellent skills in MS Office products
- ability to deal with confidential information
- strong interpersonal and organizational skills
