Strategic Military Sales Account Manager

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Vishay Intertechnology Inc., a global industry leader in the manufacturing of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components for applications in industrial, communications, transportation, consumer, medical, and defense products is currently seeking a Strategic Military Sales Account Manager in the USA.    

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The primary role of the Strategic Military Sales Account Sales will be creating business advantage and growing profits through a focus on strategic account management strategies and sales of Vishay product. You will make key decisions aimed at actualizing the Vishay corporate mission to exceed the ever-increasing expectations of our customer.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Primary Responsibilities:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Manage the area business through the market teams in the sale, development, delivery, and performance assurance of Vishay offerings to new and existing customers within their local, designated customer base.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Analyze local markets and current business performance to ensure strategies are effective in meeting planned profits and recommend adjustments to the plan when necessary.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develop and deliver on long and short-term strategic objectives for profitability and growth; develop business plans and budgets. Works to grow vertical market sales.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Understand the business environment within targeted markets, including: growth trends, legislation, and competitors; drive cash flow through effective execution of payment terms, proactive billing and collections.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develop effective leaders and high performance teams utilizing available training and development tools; builds a culture of performance management and individual accountability.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Establish and maintain personal long-term relationships with strategically important customers to ensure customer satisfaction and secure new business with acceptable, profitable margin.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Conduct regular business reviews to examine business performance; lead initiatives that drive improvement and proactive resolution of customer issues. 
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Actively work to increase market penetration across Vishay offerings by expanding the scope of work within existing projects and securing new projects.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local legal requirements and operates the Area with the highest business ethics.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">BA degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Eight years of management experience in the military industry
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Proven track record of success working in a matrix organization, dealing with conflict resolution and change management, achieving win-win results
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Must have excellent communication and written skills
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Demonstrated background dealing with customer service issues
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Time management, ability to prioritize effectively based on financial impact to the desired business goals
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">    <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Detail orientated self-starter who is service minded.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">    Strategic planning, goal setting, time management and problem solving.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">    Effective communicator at all levels.  Strong presentation and public speaking experience desired.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">    Knowledge of market to understand emerging customers, trends and competitive landscape.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">    Strong presentation skills required; this includes creating and presenting for both training and customer meetings.
