Where You’ll Work & The Scope:

Vishay Siliconix, a leader in the development of power semiconductor products which improves efficiency in electronic systems for consumer, industrial, automotive, medical, and military applications, is currently seeking a Vice President  Division Controlling.  This position will be located in San Jose, California.

 

How You’ll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech

 

As VP Division Controlling you will lead a worldwide team of financial professionals responsible for the Vishay Mosfet division financial reporting including the overall accuracy and timeliness of the division’s reported results, periodical forecasts, detailed analyses on the divisional (financial) performance including variance analyses vs. budget/forecasts and prior periods, capital request justification and spending analyses, inventory analyses (valuation/reserves), maintenance of standard costs and projections.  You will be a financial partner on the leadership team that manages the operations of the business. You will direct and oversee all the financial and controlling activities of several plants split between the US, Europe and Asia. You will support the Senior Vice President Mosfets Division in driving profitability and asset management metrics to meet/exceed the Division's financial operating and margin expectations. The leader we seek must have significant experience with manufacturing processes, financial governance, SOX requirements, and corporate financial policies and procedures.  This position reports directly to the Senior VP Operations Controller Management, reporting and analysis supporting the Senior Vice President Mosfets Division. 

 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills to develop the finance team
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activity for the division
  • Direct cost analyses at various manufacturing plants 
  • Assures compliance with Vishay policies and procedures
  • Acumen to drive strategic financial and investment plans and forecasts
  • A driver of strategic/ tactical business and financial improvements to support achievement of the Division's profitability and asset management metrics targets
  • Providing business, financial, and various analyses which supports actionable decisions.
  • Refining cost and pricing models to meet company targets
  • M&A restructuring analyses and involvement, as required
  • Ensure all the Division's plants comply with SOX controls and applicable company financial policies to support external financial reporting requirements
  • Work in cooperation with corporate and regional controllers within Vishay 

 

Experience You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree and CPA or CMA required; MBA in Finance preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in Finance/Operations role with P&L experience
  • 5+ years in a senior finance executive role
  • Experience with manufacturing and standard cost environment required with exposure to Semiconductor process-oriented environments preferred
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing concepts is highly desirable
  • International Finance experience preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Must clearly and concisely present and interact at a leadership level
  • Willingness to Travel

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently, including ability to assess and manage priorities.
  • Effective communications skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical expertise.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Must be able to build rapport with Operations and cross-functional colleagues, and be able to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills.
