Where You’ll Work & The Scope:

Vishay Siliconix, a leader in the development of power semiconductor products which improves efficiency in electronic systems for consumer, industrial, automotive, medical, and military applications, is currently seeking a Senior Foundry Product Engineer.  This position will be located in San Antonio, Texas. 


As Senior Foundry Product Engineer you will work on various MOSFET products to improve quality, yield and execution. You will have an opportunity to launch various new products from qualification to high volume manufacturing. You will collaborate with internal teams to understand product details, analyze test level data, correlate to inline electrical parameters and ultimately be responsible for on time new product introduction success.


How You’ll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

  • Monitor yield as well as engage with internal / external teams for successful launch of new products.
  • Interface between external manufacturers and our internal teams in close collaboration with our own manufacturing sites.  
  • Gap analysis vs expectation, test data analysis and correlation, running corner analysis and DoE to improve the yield and device performance, process margin, commonality analysis, and Failure Analysis
  • Opportunity to develop / improve internal analysis tools based on JMP, Spotfire and PROMIS


Experience You’ll Need:

  • BS/MS in Science or Engineering required, Electrical Engineer preferred
  • >5yrs of semiconductor process experience (basic understanding of Test and Device Engineering would be an advantage)
  • New product introduction (NPI), yield analysis (ability to discern failures as fab/test related).
  • High volume production and demonstration of strong yield analysis capability (analysis tool experience: Spotfire / JMP).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as potential for customer interaction
  • Integrity, excellent teamwork, flexibility, strong work ethic, and a sense of urgency
  • Experience with MOSFET technology, basic process integration, and device physics
  • Experience using interactive apps / dashboards (Spotfire), statistic software solutions like JMP or Statistica.
  • Familiar with modern semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor device physics, testing techniques and failure mechanisms.
