Where You’ll Work & The Scope:

Vishay Siliconix is a leader in the development of power semiconductor products which improve efficiency in electronic systems for consumer, industrial, automotive, medical, and military applications. 

 

We are currently seeking a local Power Mosfet Reliability Testing & Failure Analysis Intern for a 6 month assignment responsible for an innovative enablement of practical time dependent dielectric breakdown study.  This position will be located in San Jose, California.  We’re looking for a resilient, energetic and proactive team player to join our team and an individual that wants to exceed our expectations.

 

How You’ll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech

  • Receive training, perform, transfer and enable both technical training materials and specification with respect to TDDB (Time Dependent Dielectric Breakdown).
  • Building virtual training for TDDB for both users and the internal customers requesting the data.
  • Developing and improving silicon and package reliability documents on Vishay’s webpage for all product groups updated.
  • Receive training and perform electrical testing, characterization and fault isolation of Power MOSFET discrete device and Integrated Circuit.
  • Receive training and help on physical failure analysis works using advanced equipment.
  • Understanding, learning and improving the Failure Analysis (FA) lab equipment maintenance up to date and work with vendors for necessary parts and repairs

 

Experience You’ll Need:

  • Students graduating in 2022 with Bachelor’s degree in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or Applied Physics, or students pursuing Master’s degree or above in similar fields.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people from diversified background.
  • Need to have basic understanding in MOS device operation and physics.
  • Students with hands-on experience of semiconductor device characterization on bench or hands on experience of failure analysis will be a plus.

 

Pay:  $ 20 – 25/hr plus valuable work experience that one could not obtain in their education curriculum.
