Where You'll Work & The Scope:

Vishay Siliconix, a leader in the development of power semiconductor products which improves efficiency in electronic systems for consumer, industrial, automotive, medical, and military applications, is currently seeking a Staff Product Engineer Automotive.  This position will be located in San Jose, California.

 

How You'll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

As a Staff Product Engineer for our Automotive business you will work on new product development and production support for our Automotive product line - TrenchFET® N-Channel and P-Channel Power MOSFETs to help drive the health and quality of high-performance power products.  Your focus will be introduction of new products: characterization / data collection and analysis, and qualification, including deployment of new processes and new packages for cost reductions, yield improvement, and performance optimization. You will also be a key technical expert, working collaboratively with design, process, test and reliability engineering to address and solve problems.   You will be able to perform test and measurements using lab instruments and ATEs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • To facilitate qualification and release of new products, including new devices, new process’ and new packages
  • To handle production support engineering after transfer from design to high volume production
  • To sustain products for cost reduction and yield improvements
  • To perform and review test and measurements using lab instruments and ATEs

 

Experience You'll Need:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Engineering Physics,
  • Minimum 8 years of product engineering experience on MOSFETS product lines.
  • Detailed working knowledge with AEC documents and requirements including qualification requirements, SYL, SBL, SPC and FMEA.
  • Competence in data analysis and able to make sound data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent oral, written English proficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and strong computer skills

 

Pay Range: 165,000-210,000
