Facilities Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

 Job Responsibilities:

Maintains predominantly electrical utilities systems by providing electrical power and equipment; offering engineering support; managing contractual staff & different service providers by following all EHS guidelines.

Facilities Maintenance Engineer Job Duties:

MANDATORY

  • Achieves electrical maintenance operational objectives by contributing in preventive maintenance; preparing and completing preventive maintenance schedules; identifying issues & acting upon it for permanent solution; should possess breakdown resolving skills, determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Provides electrical power by maintaining electrical equipment and outlets, including energy management system.
  • Should be capable to carry out low budget repair & maintenance projects such as wires workstation cubicles by studying blueprints; laying-out circuitry for common and dedicated electrical outlets; providing raceways.
  • Provides lighting by maintaining electrical lighting fixtures.
  • Provides engineering support by responding to requests for mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Complies with functional & EHS codes by adhering to requirements, advising department on needed actions.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking electrical material stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies; & informing department about the requirements.
  • Keeps equipment operating by following standard operating instructions/procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Enhances facilities services and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Should have knowledge & awareness about electrical safety, should have worked on HT supply at least up to 22 kV.
  • Should have hands on experience on Transformers, ACB, VCB, SF6 breakers, LT & HT Panel, Electrical wiring system, Electrical drawings.
  • Should be a promoter of EHS aspects in all the work.

DESIRABLE

  • Should be aware about Busbar truncking system, CCTV system, Telephone system, Fire Alarm system, Access control system.
  • Should have basic knowledge about battery operated vehicles operations & maintenance.
  • Should have basic knowledge about compressor, HVAC, Chillers etc.
  • Should have good communication skills, problem solving skills, decision making.
  • Should have positive attitude, situation adaptive nature & should work accordingly.
  • Should be conversant with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Facilities Maintenance Engineer Skills and Qualifications:

Qualification:

B.E/B. Tech in Electrical Engineering only with 2 to 4 years of experience.

Electrical Troubleshooting, Technical Understanding, Equipment Maintenance, Electrical Safety Management, Attention to detail, Conceptual Skills, Supply Management, Facilities Management Systems, EHS, preventive maintenance, Electrical Switchgears, Electrical Drawing reading.
