Manager Business Marketing

Vishay Intertechnology, a global industry leader in the manufacturing of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components for applications in industrial, communications, transportation, consumer, medical, and defense products is currently seeking a Manager of Business Marketing for Passives components in North America.

 

In this position, the Manager of Business Marketing Passives will establish and drive regional efforts to achieve design-in goals and identify new product opportunities. Maximize variable margin dollars while still achieving and growing the divisions’ sales forecast. The position can only be successfully accomplished with a thorough understanding of Passives divisions’ products, market prices, customer applications, competitive forces and product costs along with excellent communications skills. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinate and lead the Business Marketing of the Business / Product Group in the within assigned region.
  • Work with Sr. Managers to define the regional strategy for the divisions to generate and increase business without compromising margins in alignment with the divisions.
  • Responsible for price administration, variable margins, budgeting/forecasting, product development inputs, sales program, product training, design-in support within their assigned region.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customers and Distributors and with Product Marketing on pricing guidelines, competitive analysis, alignment & coordination of market segments / customers/ distributors.
  • Generate competitive product/market information to optimize our offering to the market with the objective to generate profitable business.
  • Ability to work in a remote location, while maintaining high levels of communications with the division in France and the Business Team in the US.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Technical and commercial background and experience ( > 5 years in  electronics industry)
  • Advanced management and analytic skills
  • Capable to making decisions
  • Knowledge about Products, Markets and Business (administration)
  • High interpersonal and intercultural competence to handle the various global functions
  • Diplomatic approach and experience in conflicts management: internally, between divisions and departments; and with customers
  • Advanced presentation and negotiation skills
  • Entrepreneur and self-driven engaged personality
  • Open minded, flexible and able to work in a changing and diverse business environment both operationally with hands-on and strategically

 

5+ years of technical and commercial sales or marketing experience within the electronics industry, incl. excellent negotiation and presentation and management skills. Experience in dealing with divisions’ product offerings. Prior engineering experience would also be a benefit. Extended office and reporting tool skills.

 

B.S. in Engineering or equivalent, BSEE preferred.  MBA would be a benefit.

  • Eastern US, Remote location
  • Boston, Chicago, North Carolina are possible locations.
