Assembler (Temporary Assignment)

Vishay Intertechnology, a global industry leader in the manufacturing of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components for applications in industrial, communications, transportation, consumer, medical, and defense products is currently seeking an Assembler in our Ontario, California location.  This is a temporary full time positon. 

 

In this positon, the Assembler will be responsible for set up and operation of thick film printing equipment for the manufacturing of elements.  Prints on substrates and tests elements to assure they meet specifications.  Operated tabletop equipment to laser trim or test elements.  Will perform multiple operations daily.  Will read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Selects and makes screens for the printing of elements using engineering specifications. 
  • Sets up equipment, measures ink thickness and blends ink as necessary to meet drawing specifications. 
  • Prints various blends of materials on ceramic.  Processes parts through large kilns for the curing of ink.  Verifies set up of kilns.
  • Preforms tailoring or 100% testing of elements to meet specifications.
  • Uses tabletop measuring equipment to verify product meets specifications before releasing to stockroom.
  • Packages, stores and releases elements as necessary.
  • May assist in the issuance of materials, stocking elements, element inventory and training of others.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Must be able to setup and print both conductor and resistor on majority of all jobs in the thick film area.  Must be able to operate laser tailoring equipment.  Must be able to screen printers, kilns, balance scales, digital ohm meters, linearity machines, profilometer and screen exposing equipment. 
  • Ideal candidate will have at least a high school degree with some college preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
