Senior Manager, Product Marketing

Vishay Thin Film, Niagara Falls, is currently seeking a Full-Time Senior Manager, Product Marketing responsible for, in conjunction with division goals, developing specific marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.  Also, develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace.  Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs.  Within limits, establishes pricing strategies.  Works with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops the division direction for optimal division product marketing planning and to enhance product placement in the competitive marketplace. Visits customers to assess needs.
  • Participates at senior meetings and sets forth policies and plans to achieve speed to market excellence, in concert with production, engineering, quality assurance, sales growth,  headcount planning, etc.
  • Per Internal Controls and SOX, approves budgets and capital expenditures as set by top organizational level and utilizes resources accordingly.  Takes lead in presentations and utilizes market research to monitor competition and report back to division management.
  • Selects appropriate subordinate group to ensure smooth operations to support company objectives and provides training as required.
  • Price all strategic account and OEM contracts and attend negotiations when required
  • Review all quality clauses received on quotes for acceptance and develops required charges required. Track and log book for easy access by others.

Requirements:

  • 10 years experience with product marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.  MS or MBA a plus.
  • Typical office environment. Travel required—often extensive.
