DL Inspector 3 (Quality Control Tech 1st)

Vishay Thin Film Niagara Falls, NY is currently seeking a Full Time DL Inspector 3 (Quality Control Technician 1st shift) responsible for independently performing QCI testing of commercial and military products and other tasks as defined by area Supervisor.



Ability to read and write in order to read production documents and accurately record required information.

  • Ability to perform above average arithmetic calculations such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication as prescribed by Production Supervisor test procedures.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for accurate data acquisition and report preparation.
  • Excellent organizational and reporting skills required.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain working professional relationships with coworkers and management.

  • Must have basic computer operation system skills

  • High school diploma

  • Strong math skills required

  • At least one year experience working as a QC Technician Trainee

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and perform hardware and software setup for QCI test initiation and completion per commercial or military requirements as specified by production lot traveler.  Report status to Production Supervisor daily
  • Develop and perform QCI testing as defined by production lot traveler and ISO 9000 Level III work instructions.  Emphasis is placed on determining conformance to controlling specifications requirements and/or determining product performance characteristics
  • Perform sample lot formation and test sample preparation
  • Understand and create test report spreadsheet formats as required by individual VTF part specifications
  • Fabrication of any special test tooling and/or fixtures
  • Develop and  maintain appropriate paperwork, travelers, and log books in an organized manner
  • Plan development of required test and equipment and methods
  • Through utilization of organizational skills, assist others in the implantation and completion of QCI test requirements
  • May be required to train other employees
