Do you want to be a part of the critical infrastructure in today’s growing technology? Vishay in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a 3rd shift production Operator 2. An ideal candidate should be able to follow the established manufacturing specifications, Using Micro-Processor controlled saws, cuts certamic or silicon parts according to customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Sets up saw per the instruction on the traveler.
- Prepare substrates for cutting by applying tape to the back of the part using proper tools, operate multiple saws to cut product per traveler instructions.
- Remove, wash in plate washer (or sink) and dry finished plate.
- Record appropriate information in the log books and Dynamics E-log.
- Keep work area clean with regular housekeeping.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by lead person or Supervisor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to read and write in order to interpret production documents and accurately record required information such as part number, lot number, special instructions and process sequences.
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using a learned method or calculator.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail in order to handle repetitive type work the manufacture of small, close tolerance parts.
- Ability to understand verbal instructions in order to take work direction and accurately manufacture products
