Do you want to be a part of the critical infrastructure in today's growing technology?  Vishay in Niagara Falls, NY is hiring for a 2nd shift production Operator 2 (Anneal Department) 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.  Following the established manufacturing specifications, anneals film into specified resistance value following established TCR and TCR tracking range. Stabilize film according to film type.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to read and write in order to interpret production documents and accurately record required information such as part number, lot number, special instructions and process sequences.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using a learned method or a calculator.
  • Eye-hand coordination and good manual dexterity in order to accurately process the small products manufactured.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions in order to take work direction and accurately manufacture products.
  • Ability and confidence to make correct decisions for obtaining accurate annealing results.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects plates for proper conditions before starting annealing process.     
  • Anneal batches according to film type and TCR requirements.         
  • Check nominal, TCR and tracking to ensure they are within traveler specifications.         
  • Responsible for making determination of necessary annealing process adjustments for satisfactory product.
  • Stabilize according to film type to maintain film standards.     
  • Responsible for reading ovens and decision making.  
  • Record and maintain oven logs, work logs and files in order.
  • Anneal monitors and perform thermal coefficient of resistance checks on Ta2N monitors.
  • Enter batch into anneal computer log.
  • Assist supervisor in training of new hires.
  • Perform general housekeeping to keep area clean.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
