DL Inspector 2 (SM 2nd shift)

Do you want to be a part of the critical infrastructure in today's growing technology?  Vishay Thin Film in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a DL Inspector 2 (Surface Mount 2nd shift).  An ideal candidate should be able to follow the established manufacturing specifications, performs visual and electrical inspection on surface mount parts.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write in order to read production documents and accurately record required information.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using a learned method or a calculator.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail in order to handle repetitive type work in the manufacture of small, close tolerance parts.
• Ability to understand verbal instructions in order to take work directions and accurately manufacture products.
• Training provided

Responsibilities:

• Set up multi meters with proper nominals and tolerances as stated on the traveler, manually and with computerized software.
• Read and interpret the instructions on the traveler and customer specifications to process the order.
• Using a microscope, visually inspect parts per the traveler for the correct dimensional and visual criteria.
• Complete the traveler and Dynamics electronic log. 
• Package parts per the traveler instruction or forward parts to other departments for different package and procedures or further testing.
