Where You'll Work & The Scope:

Vishay Marshall, MN is seeking a full-time Process Engineering Manager to provide technical support and leadership to manufacturing personnel.  Directs and coordinates activities of department to design, manufacture, and test electronic components, products, and systems by performing the following duties personally or through team members. 

 

How You'll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

  • Directs department activities to coordinate and design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures
  • Evaluate process and equipment or automation to increase capacity.  Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products
  • Defines and documents standard and modified standard tests and manufacturing processes
  • Responsible for process capability analysis and improvement generation to facilitate continued production time reduction
  • Adheres to department goals for planning, development, and implementation of process engineering
  • Attends meetings and provides input to the process engineering team to enhance systems and methods
  • Performs data analysis and continuously improves quality
  • Customer and Supplier interface
  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects
  • Ensures quality products are produced at minimum cost through effective use of materials, equipment, and staff
  • Interfaces with other departments to resolve process engineering issues
  • Manages the development of systems to maintains reports and record keeping of process engineering parameters
  • Ensures process engineering team observes established safety rules and conducts experiments in related product area in a safe manner

 

Experience You'll Need:

  • B.S. in Engineering or Applied Sciences, M.S preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in related area coupled with strong people management, presentation, PC, and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to effectively communication both in person and in writing
  • Occasional travel may be required
