Sr. Director Quality

Vishay Intertechnology Malvern, PA is currently seeking a full time Sr. Director, Quality responsible for overseeing the Passives quality group globally across divisions.  Directs, develops, implements, and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activities.   Champions the investigative team for highly complex customer issues. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products.  Participates in the review of engineering designs ensuring robust products, DFSS/DFM and Design Validation considerations.  Leads Continuous Improvement activities to reduce Customer concerns and improve in process yields.  Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure each plant and division are fully capable.  Establish and execute audit plans to maintain Quality certifications.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all aspects of the quality function and implements Quality systems, guidelines, plans and policies to effectively ensure the highest quality of the company’s products.
  • Handles key customers and sets forth annual plan to achieve quality standards, systems and objectives utilizing appropriate procedures and cost savings methods.
  • Approves headcount, budgets and capital expenditures as set by top organizational level.
  • Selects appropriate subordinate Quality management group to ensure smooth coverage of Quality function.
  • Customer Contract Review Process and Government Surveys
  • Lead contact and support for DLA
  • Manage Israel Quality Director
  • Support MarCom for all general quality, AGP, AEC related items

 

Requirements:

  • 15 years experience in Quality with significant experience at top organizational level
  • BS/Engineering degree in related discipline.
  • Six Sigma/MBA a plus
  • May require significant travel
