1. SUMMARY OF POSITION :

The Marketing Administrative Assistant acts as the first person to generate and maintain master material data within the SAP system.   This will maintain a close relationship with Customer Representatives, Production Control, Timekeeping-Accounting and IT.

 

2.  ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION(S):

DESCRIPTION

Receives Customer Service requirements, Sales and different areas to create SAP material master.  Creates SAP material masters following specific guidelines and rules

Communicates with other departments to obtain the needed information to create material masters, ex: Production Control, Timekeeping and IT

Corrects and maintains material masters as required.

3. OTHER SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Helps store CMIR’s by verifying CPN to VPN links using applicable verification methods.

Processes price blocks and ship and debits.

Helps reviewing received orders to ensure all components correspond to the customer requirements to the order.  Items to check include the weight range, resistance value, tolerance and printing requirements, special testing, packaging, special requirements and coating.

Helps reviewing Customer Service incoming requisitions to be quoted.

Helps the Marketing Department as required.

4. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Number of years of study and specifically the type of training and experience.

 Education: High School or equivalent

 Experience: 6 to 12 months experience (Preferably)

 Basic Training: Experience in the usage of the Telephone, computer, copy machine, fax and calculator.

5.  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

Excellent organization skills and the ability to pay close attention to details, orders, handle and manage the daily work load. Capable to work with computers, operational system related to the work process, data sheets, e-mail, SAP and Dale  Legacy computer system. Capable to comprehend and with the ability to communicate with departments within the company. Ex. Customer Service, Timekeeping-Accounting, Production Control and IT. Must maintain the confidentiality of all date. Must have knowledge of all company products and understanding of SAP part numbers.

 

6. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY AND DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY: specify the number of employees under your charge, budget and supervision responsibilities, sales volume, etc.

Works in assignments that require good judgment and initiative. Understands work impact and makes solution recommendations, for a mayor decision sees the supervisor.

 

7. PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Be specific

Generally good working conditions. May have occasional exposure to dust, noise, heat, mild chemicals, that fall below acceptable limits as established by current government standards. Safety equipment may be required.
