Environmental Engineer - 112

1. SUMMARY OF POSITION:  Briefly state the overall purpose of the position in one or two sentences, highlighting the general function(s).

Give support to EHS Manager in develops, implements and monitors company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Act as EHS deputy for ISO 14001/ISO 45001/Clean Industry program. Act as Safety security supervisor.

 

2.  ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION(S): Be specific.

Coordinate the activities related with EHS when is required.

Conduct EHS trainings such as; emergency response plant, hazardous/Non Hazardous waste management, PPE use, chemical substances, industrial hygiene,  life safety, ergonomic affairs and others IEHS affairs that could be applicable.

Submit documentation to comply with legal requirements in the federal/state/municipal spheres.

Coordinate the execution of environmental, health and safety studies.

Give support to follow up to CARS and can make recommendations when exist risk/hazards to the employees.

Give support to the Health and safety commission member.

Take an active role in ISO 14001/ISO 45001 giving follow up to; environmental aspects evaluations, hazard/risk assessment, operational controls, objectives and targets, emergency response plan, evaluation of legal compliance, documentation, etc. Take the leader role for the action to be implemented.

Monitors the program requirements applicable Security C-TPAT program.

May have a role in the administration of the worker’s compensation program.

Take an active role in the security guard supervision.

May have a role in the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions.

Depends on division.
