Where you'll Work & The Scope

Vishay UltraSource in Hollis, NH is currently seeking a Quality Technician responsible for directly supporting our quality and on-time shipment goals by dispositioning potentially discrepant material at Incoming and Final Inspection.  The Quality Technician will perform visual (microscope) and dimensional inspection of materials and products applying customer specification drawing requirements and Vishay UltraSource quality procedures as the basis for the disposition.  


How You'll Help Us Build The DNA of TECH: 

  • Inspect, investigate and disposition work order issues in the Incoming and Final Inspection areas;
  • Train Final Inspectors/Quality Assurance personnel on procedures;
  • Develop, update and document inspection processes and criteria;
  • Review and document customer returns through the RMA process;
  • Review and document supplier issues and escalate to Quality Engineer;
  • Collaborate with Production and Engineering personnel to drive root cause and corrective action for work orders with high defect rates;  
  • Explore and suggest defect reduction programs to Process Engineering;
  • Provide back up support for all quality team members with specific responsibility for first articles inspection, source inspection and PO reviews;
  • Manage Calibration program, including scheduling and coordinating Calibration suppliers.


Experience You'll Need: 

  • Familiar with AS9100/ISO9001 and Industry specifications such as MIL Standard and/or IPC
  • Associates degree in a technical discipline, preferred
  • 1-2 years of engineering experience and/or 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Previous work experience within a cleanroom preferred
  • Experience using calibrated measuring instruments ranging from hand tools to optical measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret a wide variety of customer prints and specifications
  • Strong GD&T knowledge is preferred
