Do you want to be a part of the critical infrastructure in today’s growing technology? Vishay UltraSource is seeking a full-time experienced Equipment Technician. Candidates need a minimum of 2 years experience to apply.  The Equipment Technician is responsible for ensuring the production equipment is maintained and functioning at peak performance to achieve the goal of 95% equipment uptime.  The Equipment Technician will provide timely support to manufacturing for all equipment related issues, perform preventative maintenance tasks and replace equipment components as necessary. In addition, this employee will support continuous improvement projects as needed. An ideal candidate will have previous hands-on experience in a machine shop and a strong comittment to excellence.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve production equipment problems promptly.  Determine root cause and implement short and long-term equipment solutions.
  • Plan and complete equipment continuous improvement projects, with others as required.
  • Work closely with process engineering to manage change effectively.
  • Develop and maintain spare part inventory for equipment.
  • Conduct equipment and facility preventive maintenance (PM) tasks.
  • Conduct facility Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) PM tasks.
  • Participate on the Joint Loss Management Committee (JLMC).
  • Other tasks as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Engineering or other Technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with high vacuum Sputtering or PECVD systems, strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of vacuum and sputtering theory, strongly preferred.
  • Able to work independently and with minimal direct supervision.
  • Must have great manual dexterity and skilled with various hand tools.
  • Must have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude for problem solving.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and New Hampshire Department of Environmental Protection (NHDES) regulations, including Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good writing and documentation skills.
  • Available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed
