Manager Quality Control

Vishay Intertechnology, a global industry leader in the manufacturing of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components for applications in industrial, communications, transportation, consumer, medical, and defense products has an outstanding opportunity as Quality Manager for our Diodes division in North America.    

 

In this positon, directly under the leadership of our Diodes divisional quality director, you will be responsible for investigation and assessment of all customer product quality related requests or concerns for the diodes division. This may include any concern or complaints involving device function, delivery, packaging and labeling of division products. Coordination of responses to customers from the division factories, which typically includes 8-Ds, QA data, reliability information and risk assessments.  Involvement in QA improvement plans to reduce recurrence of problems. Understanding and interpretation of analytical data and the capability of presenting this directly to customers

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Investigation of quality concerns & coordination of responses to the customer.
  • Process investigation and problem-solving participation.
  • Support of sales through customer visits and presentations of QA topics.
  • QA support of new business through attendance & input at customer pre-launches.
  • Customer Quality Presentation development
  • Materials Disclosure Reports and uploads
  • QA Data Reports as per customer requests
  • Support on material disposition if any needs on products return or replacement

 

Position Requirements:

Education

  • BSEE or BS with emphasis on  quality systems

 

Experience

  •    10 years of experience with quality systems on semiconductor field.
  •    Experience in strong interaction with customers. 
  •    Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.  Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

 

Skills / Certifications

  • Excellent MS office skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
