Sr Cost Control Analyst 1

Vishay Applied Thin-Film Products is currently seeking a full-time Sr. Cost Control Analyst in Fremont, California, responsible for consolidated reports and analysis concerning costs. This includes operational financial reporting, bookings, inventories, manufacturing, labor, materials, profit planning and cost variance analysis.  Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of standard manufacturing cost files for all manufactured products for pricing, inventory and scrap valuation purposes
  • Maintains variable cost files and price/volume variance analysis by product
  • Responsible for manufacturing cost/pricing developments used for OEM, distributor, and transfer pricings
  • Establishes uniform and consistent procedures to control and report inventory valuations (materials, labor and overhead) including inventory revaluation and adjustments
  • Coordinates development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Directs labor fringe cost allocations and labor/material distributions and purchase price variance analysis
  • Assist with periodic financial and internal control audits and the annual tax package
  • Within internal controls is responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial planning
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years’ experience with increasingly related experience in cost/controlling
  • Strong knowledge and user of Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook a must
  • Must have strong background with monthly financial close and preparing of financial statements, with increasingly working experience
  • Knowledge of ERP Epicor10 software desirable
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail orientation, along with ability to prioritize and manage time
  • Ability to clearly present information via schedules, tables charts, commentary to management
  • Excellent verbal and written English communications skills required
  • Must be willing to travel
