Where You’ll Work & The Scope:
Vishay Speciality Thin-Film is currently seeking a full-time Sales Engineer responsible for the sales of Applied Thin-Film Products’ (ATP), UltraSource Inc. (USI), and Electro-Film Inc. (EFI) products throughout a defined region, development of new and maintenance of existing customer relationships and expansion of the customer base. We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented experienced professional to serve as a dedicated contributor to our Sales team. This is a remote position and individual should reside on the U.S. West Coast.
How You’ll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:
- Work closely with Regional Sales Manager and Director of Sales and support staff
- Establish annual sales objectives by creating a sales plan by customer
- Monitor performance to the annual sales plan
- Utilize the available Epicor10 (E10) reports to analyze data critical to business within the defined region. This may include sales by customer, orders by customer, quote hit rate and other available reports
- Establish new accounts by identifying new opportunities utilizing web leads, trade show leads and cold calls
- Identify and develop opportunities within customer accounts for business development through personal communications (i.e., email, telephone, in person visits)
- Review customer RFQ’s, generate cost sheets and supply quotations as required
- Actively follow-up with customers regarding open quotations
- Report on regional sales results
- Work with and manager Manufacturers Representatives as required in the region
- Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
- Participate in trade shows as required
- Manage personal schedule through utilization of the Sales Travel Calendar
Experience You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2-5+ years of experience in a thin-film sales working directly with customers working as a RF Design Engineer, or either as an Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
- Must have a thorough technical understanding of thin-film technology and its applications and manufacturing semiconductor background
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Must possess a highly-positive and service-oriented approach to work with both internal and external customers
- Use of Outlook, Word, Excel and Access proficiency a must
- Excellent verbal communication skills required to develop relationships and provide timely service to clients
- Strong written communication skills
- Flexible schedule and able to travel
- Must be able to handle pressure with composure and tact
