Do you want to be part of the critical infrastructure in today's growing technology?  Vishay Applied Thin-Film Products is seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Inspector.  No Experience to Apply, We will Train.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing in-process, final visual inspection of raw, metalized and patterned ceramic substrates using stereo zoom and high power microscopes, micrometers, calipers, various gauges and other inspection tools.
  • Read diagrams and specifications
  • Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
  • Accept or reject finished products
  • Must strictly follow quality standards and meet daily, weekly production goals
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for the products
  • Ability to interpret test data according to test parameters.
  • Ability to perform First Article Inspection
  • May be required to perform other duties
  • Report inspection and test data
  • Provide training and support to QA team

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years’ experience in quality assurance inspection, preferred but not required
  • Ability to read and understand workmanship standards, military standards
  • Computer skills, data entry experience and proven working knowledge of computer usage
  • MIC Hybrid circuit inspection experience or MIC assembly a plus
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Technical knowledge of basic inspection tools and equipment like calipers, micrometers, various gauges, and low- and high- powered microscopes, bonding machines, etc.
  • Proficient in English. Must have good English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good manual dexterity for handling precise small fragile components under a microscope using tweezers and probes
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with constant change
  • Able to prioritize job flows, schedule and manage time efficiently
  • Strong problem solving and multi-tasking abilities required
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and other safety procedures
  • Prior experience working for ISO 9000 certified company

Salary Range:  DOE / $17.00 - $22.00 per hour,
