Where You'll Work & The Scope:

Vishay Applied Thin-Film Products in Fremont, CA is currently seeking a part-time Human Resources Assistant responsible for providing assistance to the HR department, which includes support for employment, benefits, training & development and managing of employment records.  The HR Assistant will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  


How You'll Help Us Build the DNA of Tech:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date  HR files including new hire, employment and termination paperwork
  • Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring process
  • May assist with the full cycle of talent acquisition (i.e., posting job openings, setting up interviews, the onboarding process)
  • Responsible for data entry of training records
  • Track incoming forms to ensure all necessary information has been obtained
  • Provide assistance with various HR projects and initiatives
  • Provide coordination in planning and execution for HR programs (ie. Open Enrollment, Annual Review Processes)


Experience You'll Need:

  • AA degree preferred or suitable combination of skills and experience
  • 2-4 years of HR experience in a mid-size, manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must possess strong PC skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision
